Tequila Poker is an absolutely unique card game where 2 games are combined in to one - Tequila Poker - a poker-style game - and Hi Tequila (High Tequila), a hi/lo sort of game. It’s this twist on traditional card games that is behind the dramatic rise in the popularity of Tequila Poker.
How to Begin Playing
Anybody with basic poker know-how will have no difficulty picking up Tequila Poker. Even if you are completely new to the poker world, do not fear; you will have the game mastered in not time at all.
To commence playing you simply enter your ante & click the DEAL button. 4 cards are afterwards dealt face up to the center of the table.
With these four initial cards you then decide to continue with your hand according to Tequila Poker’s rules or Hi Tequila’s. Or you may fold your hand. This, naturally, means kissing your ante good bye.
When you’ve chosen your preferred playing setting - Tequila Poker or Hi Tequila - your ante gamble is automatically doubled & placed on the Bet spot. Next, 2 additional cards are laid face up alongside the 4 cards dealt out at the outset. In the two modes, the result of your hand is established by all of the 6 cards.
Hi Tequila Rules
In Hi Tequila the 5 highest-value cards are totaled up together. For your ease, the total value is automatically added for you & appears on the table. When the value of these 5 highest-ranking cards totals 46 or more, you have won the hand & are paid according to the Hi Tequila pay-offs posted on the table. All number cards assume their face value, Jacks, Queens & Kings count as ten, and Aces count as 11.
Tequila Poker Regulations
In Tequila Poker mode, all 6 cards are employed to develop your greatest workable 5-card poker hand. Draw dual aces or more and you’ve won that hand. The hand ranking sequence in Tequila Poker’s the same as traditional 5-card poker: a Royal Flush ranks highest, followed by a Straight Flush, a 4-of-a-Kind, Full House, a Flush, Straight, 3-of-a-Kind, 2 Pairs, and 1 Pair.
Irregardless of which form you prefer to play in, the pay outs in both only relate to your wager. The ante’s always paid out to you at an even rate. Finally, only one 52-card deck is used in Tequila Poker which is reshuffled automatically following each playing round.
